WHO IS DOING WHAT? MORE INFORMATION?
Earlier this year I knitted a BIG CARDIGAN (over 6 feet across) and asked The Guinness Book of Records to verify it as the biggest ‘cardigan’ in the world. Unfortunately they class ‘cardigans’ alongside jumpers, sweaters and jerseys and the biggest one was made in China in 2007 and has a magnificent 28 feet chest. So…….
This Cardigan will be huge and we all need to do this together
EVERYONE CAN BE INVOLVED
KNITTING OR CROCHETING SQUARES
Get a group together to make a blanket of squares - your design, logo - whatever you want but please get in touch first so I know what you are up to!! (You get the blanket back when, or if, we dismantle the Cardy!) If you want to make just one square that's fine too. For each small square produced you will need to raise a minimum of £1.00 for a good cause/charity. This can be a charity chosen by you or your group.
Sponsor forms are be available for you to photocopy.
If you cannot knit or crochet how about supporting those who can?
We want to raise at least £1.00 per square and the money can go to your favourite charity.

We need to knit or crochet about 1150 (30cm/12inch) squares and sew them together
Knit a rib around it and make BIG buttons and add a couple of pockets
AND THEN…..
We get the Guinness Book Of Records to verify that we have made the BIGGEST CARDIGAN IN THE WORLD –
Should measure (approximately) 35feet chest length 21feet sleeve length 16feet
BUT.......it may be even BIGGER!!!!
